US Open 2026 tee times: Full R2 groupings and UK and Ireland start times for second round at Shinnecock Hills in New York

Groupings and tee times for the second round of the 126th US Open, held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

Fog saw a two-hour suspension in play during a windy opening round, as the strongest gusts didn't materialise but the iconic New York course still provided a challenging test for the world's best.

Play was suspended at 8.25pm local time (1.25am UK time) due to darkness and will resume at 6.35am (11.35am BST) on Friday, with round two tee times now 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.

Rory McIlroy was one of only six in the morning wave post an under-par score on Thursday, carding a one-under 69 despite finishing bogey-bogey, with the world No 2 in a strong position to challenge for a second major win of the season.

McIlroy is among the afternoon starters on Friday alongside Ryder Cup team-mates Ludvig Ă…berg and Tommy Fleetwood, with world No 1 Scottie Scheffler also among the later wave after posting an opening-round 72 on Thursday.

Scheffler struggled with his irons during his first round but remains in the running to claim a fifth major in as many seasons, which would see him become just the seventh male in history to complete the career Grand Slam.
